At work
- I have been trying to get into a rhythm of writing at least once a week - so far so good, but I'm finding it hard to output a balanced selection of notes. They've been quite technology focused to date
- If one good thing has come out of the COVID-19 crisis is that some services have become more accessible - I signed up to Sofa Conference this week and I'm really looking forward to it
After work
- I discovered a critical bug on my website (that might of been in the wild for 1-2 days) which meant first time visitors experienced a server error message on first hit. I'm so gutted as first impressions count
Links and inspiration
- Mike Street launched a nice little website called Behind the Source, which features interviews from people "behind" the websites
- Clearleft launched Sofa Conference - a conference that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home
- I came across empty sets from the BBC Archive which might make funny backgrounds for your video calls
Life
- Life after lockdown seems far more complicated than just staying at home
- I've been reviewing the guidance given to schools in France for when they ease lockdown restrictions in May. For the little ones (3-6 year olds), it‘s clear that "school" won't look or feel the same
- On the 9th May 1945, the Channel Islands were liberated from German forces, 1 day after everybody else. Happy Liberation Day, Jersey!
